Basic Life Support (HCP)
Kore Life offers the Basic Life Support (BLS) certification program, which is designed for professional first responders and healthcare providers such as paramedics, firefighters, nurses, and doctors. The Canadian Red Cross discontinued the Health Care Provider (HCP) level of CPR in the spring of 2019 and replaced it with BLS, which better aligns with the skills required for these roles.
Our BLS program builds on the fundamentals covered in CPR level C, providing participants with the specific skills and applications required for healthcare positions. This includes 2-person rescuer techniques, oxygen administration, pulse checking, working in a team, CPR for adults, children, and infants, defibrillation, choking, and responding to heart attacks and strokes.
Become Certified
Our BLS training program is just 4 hours long and is valid for 1 year. To remain current, certificate holders must recertify their skills prior to the expiry date on the certification. The cost for this program is $80 per participant plus HST.
We also offer group rates for up to 10 participants at $800 plus HST and for up to 20 participants at $1500 plus HST.
Our experienced trainers provide participants with hands-on training and simulations to help them develop the necessary skills and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations. By taking our BLS training program, healthcare providers and professional first responders can ensure they are equipped with the most up-to-date and relevant skills needed to provide lifesaving care to those in need.
